Agenda:

Update planners with Agenda and HW

  1. Article: "In Praise of Arranged Marriages"
    • Advantages of Arranged Marriage vs. Disadvantages of Dating Chart
      • Students already marked the text with two colors to identify the author's argument of advantages of arranged marriage and disadvantages of dating.
        1. Students will use their marked article to write evidence on the chart.
        2. Beginning with paragraph 8, go paragraph by paragraph and put all evidence on the chart.
  2. Chapter 9 Vocabulary
    1. Teacher will read the new vocabulary sentences aloud and discuss.
    2. Students will complete "10 words in Context" with teacher.
    3. Students will then work with a partner to complete "Matching Words with Definitions", then teacher can call sticks to check for understanding : )
